When Terry Fox recognized that he would not be able to complete his Marathon of Hope for cancer research in 1980, he bequeathed his mission to his fellow Canadians and The Terry Fox Run began. In keeping with the approach of its founder, the Run is a volunteer-led event, all-inclusive, non-competitive, with no pre-registration, entry fees or fundraising minimums. BRANTFORD COMEDY FESTIVAL
Come and join 91.5 The Beat at Brantford Comedy Festival is being held Friday, September 24th & Saturday, September 25th in Brantford. See “18 Comedians. 2 Days. 1 Big Party.” Friday night is the RISING STAR SHOWCASE at Branlyn Community Centre. The Rising Star showcase features 14 comedians competing for a spot on the Gala stage. After the Rising Star Showcase on Friday night, there is a VIP Party at Jackhammers Night club. Live music, prizes and is exclusive to VIP ticket holders. Saturday is the Gala Night at The Sanderson Centre, starring headliners Jon Dore & Debra DiGiovanni. Also, Gavin Stephens, Graham Chittenden and Mark Forward. VIP passes are $50.00 and are limited to 500 available. This gets you into all 3 events. Gala tickets are $35.00, and gets you into the gala night. General Admission seating. Tickets are available online at www.brantfordcomedy.com and at select locations. Funds will go to help support the Stedman Community Hospice as our charity of choice.
