Out of this World Leafs Opening / Orr vs. Scott (David vs. Goliath) / Paul MacLean's Double
Posted 1/22/2013 9:04:00 AM

Ok, so the Leafs Home Opener didn’t go quite according to plan, losing it to the Sabres 2-1, which truly was Miller Time (34 saves).  It didn't matter though, my son, Dustin had a great time despite and the opening ceremony were out of this world.

Colton Orr made his return to the A-C-C memorable.  He took down Goliath, other known as John Scott.  This dude is 6 ft 8 in, making Orr at 6 ft 3 in look pretty small, but don’t you worry, David won.

The end of the game was a real scramble.  After Scrivens was pulled, Kadri finally got one past Miller, and now has scored 2 of the 3 goals this year.  It looked like Lupul tied it up, but was called back after the review showed he used his hand to put the puck past.  Yah, you can't do that.  Toronto travels to Pittsburgh tomorrow night to face Sid the Kid and Co.

Were you seeing two too?  I think everyone was.  Paul MacLean’s double showed up behind the Sens bench last night for all to see.  This guy is a dead ringer.  Gotta love the 'Mo.

Kyle Turris picked up 2 goals in this one, giving him 3 already on the young season.  I’ll say it again, that was a great pick-up by Ottawa last season.

Whether you like, or hate shoot-outs, you have to admit it does deliver some beauty goals.  Check out this winner from the Red Wings’ Damien Brunner .

Vincent Lecavalier played in his 1,000th career game last night, all for the Tampa Bay Lightning.  He’s only the 5th player in NHL history to do so with the team that drafted him.

The Warriors Stephen Curry was bouncing his team to a victory.

And if you want to see the Super Bowl live, you may have to sell your home, or possibly your soul.  Tickets range from $2,130 for the upper level behind the end zone to $39,000 by center field.  You could always get a box, but you’re going to have to shell out $420,000, but that’s only $13,000 per person, so not bad at all.  Although, that’s assuming you can actually get them.  On StubHub, tickets range between $2,217 to $316,000.  That might be your best bet to get a ticket.

That's it from the couch...for now.
