It was a busy weekend! It kicked off with my pilgrimage to the Toronto Yoga Conference on Friday. I didn't really think about the fact that the class, lead by my teacher Natasja Payne & the Tribal Groove drummers, was out in the middle of the conference space with lots of room for bystanders to watch...and they did. But I put my focus into the class and had a great experience!! In my walk around I saw yoga guru Rodney Yee and lots of goodies to spend my $$$ on....I opted for a $10 smoothie. Saturday night I was feeling the blues at the TD Kitchener Bluesfest Launch Event at the Walper Hotel. The performers for this year's Bluesfest were officially announced, among them - Colin James, Los Lobos, Ray Manzarek (keyboardist from The Doors), Taj Mahal and more. Yesterday the City of Cambridge lived active and showed their spirit as part of the Live Right Now Challenge. The city is representing Ontario in the nationwide active, healthy living competition. Even in the sleet and hail residents canoe'd, zumba'd and bowled (over 400 of them!) their way to the rally. I was honoured to MC (along with BWest) the Big Crunch Rally in civic square. On April 6th the city will find out finalist results with the overall winner named April 13th.
